![]() ![]() Tip’s professional and volunteer activities have included many leadership roles in the Dallas Chapter of the AIA, including Chapter President in 2005. OMNIPLAN recently designed the new home of AIA Dallas, the AD EX, as well as the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum, which opened in the West End Historic District in September 2019. Notable among these is the 450 acre Vision and Masterplan for the Midtown District in Dallas, a 260 acre plan for Monarch City in Allen, Texas, a redevelopment of The Quadrangle in Dallas, redevelopment of the historic Dallas Morning News campus and a $75 million dollar renovation and expansion of the Mark Lemmon-designed Highland Park Presbyterian Church. In recent years, he has developed a passion for redevelopment, urban infill and city planning, working on numerous urban design and redevelopment projects. While at OMNIPLAN, Tip has led many large scale projects across many market sectors, including Santa Monica Place, NorthPark Center, Highland Park Village, as well as multiple education and research buildings at Texas A&M and UT Southwestern. In 2010, he was named a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects for service in the community. Tip began his career in Dallas with Woodard & Associates and Parkey & Partners.Īfter earning his MBA from SMU’s Cox School of Business in 1984, Tip joined OMNIPLAN Architects, rising to become partner and principal. Graduating in 1980 from the University of Texas School of Architecture with a Bachelors in Architecture, Tip moved to Dallas with his wife, Lana where they have raised their four children. ![]()
